MEGA is a safe service to use. However, there are some points about user data that you should be aware of.

I’ve been using Mega for years alongside Dropbox on all my platforms (Windows, Linux, Android). However, you can’t share download links for MEGAdrop folders without them reverting to regular folders. This could have been resolved by simply allowing the user to create upload links.
